ISTU 2009 - Aix en Provence

The Gala Dinner of ISTU 2009 will take place in the "Chateau Pont-Royal", on Friday, September 25.
Ground transportation to and back from the castle will be arranged in advance for dinner attendees. The meeting point will be situated in front of Aix-en-Provence Congress Center on Friday, September 25 at 19:15.

About the Chateau Pont-Royal:
Ideally located half way between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, Pont Royal is a small hamlet flanking the Coteaux du Luberon in the very heart of Provence. Between the 18th and 19th centuries, Chateau Pont Royal used to be an important post house on the way from Paris to Antibes, where horses and crews transporting royal mail found a peaceful place to rest.

The property contains many buildings in the middle of a magnificent four-acre park, bordered by seven acres of vineyards. All the buildings have been beautifully and painstakingly restored. The coaching house, the pigeon roost, the cellars and the Grande Bastide all have a wealth of period features.

Nowadays the Jauffret family, who has been the landowner of the property over three hundred years, welcomes a wide variety of prestigious events such as weddings, car launches, exhibitions, concerts, fashion shows, business meetings and seminars.
